Hi there! I’m Alaana, pronounced Al-ay-na, and yep, I know that’s a lot of A’s in there. I’m a busy mum of two kids - Evelyn and Augustus - with a passion for up-cycling vintage fabrics into fun, feminine, and flexible clothing for sizes 14 to 30.

Although I learnt to sew as a kid, it wasn’t until a few years ago—after falling out of love with fast fashion—that I dusted off my sewing machine and started creating a sustainable, forever wardrobe.

Like many, my body has changed over the years due to pregnancy, health conditions, and medications. This journey made me rethink my wardrobe, leading me to design clothing that adapts with my body as it fluctuates in size. Flexibility and comfort are at the heart of everything I create.

I know firsthand how limited the options can be for plus-size people seeking sustainable fashion. That’s why I’m committed to offering beautifully made, one-of-a-kind pieces that cater to curvier figures—because everyone deserves to feel stylish and comfortable, no matter their size.

My fabric is sourced by none other than my wonderful husband, Mat, who frequents local Vinnies and Salvo’s around Hobart. The lovely ladies there know him well and often set aside the best vintage linens for his visits—they think he’s the bee’s knees, and so do I!

Our home, along with Mat’s shed, is brimming with these unique finds. I’ve even taken over the kids’ playroom to carve out a (very messy) sewing space where I create whenever I can. Every piece I make is a labor of love, designed to be cherished and worn for years to come x
